Fedora 15 Configuration Series: A Review Of EasyLife
8:01 AMEasyLife is another Fedora 15 configuration tool that reminds me a lot of Automatix/Ultamatix on Ubuntu. EasyLife is a configuration tool that has the express purpose of making certain software installations easier for new users.

[/caption]As you can see by the screenshot, there's not a whole lot to this configuration utility. Just select the software you would like to install and click OK to install it.
So far I haven't had any issues with this configuration utility. It does exactly what it aims to do: make your life on Linux easier by automating certain software installations.
Here's a list of some of the software installations EasyLife automates (this is by no means a complete list):
- ATI video card driver
- most common video & audio codecs
- DVD tools such as K9Copy & Devede
- Flash Player for Firefox
- Microsoft's core fonts
- Sun Java runtime environments for 32 and 64 bit
- Nvidia video card driver
